When I talk about you, it’s because I’ll say something like, “Our friend Amy is a writer.” Which means, I still think of you as a mom and wife, but your role as writer is most prominent to me at this time in our lives. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments!
Your post really resonated with me. As a mom of four, I understand so much of what you wrote about the unseen work of mothering, caring for aging parents, and trying to protect that quiet voice that says, I am a writer.
I'm 64, and after years of raising my family and living a full life, my first novel will finally be published on August 19. So when I tell you to keep writing, I mean it from experience. Your "someday" can absolutely become reality.
